I was just looking around my hdd when I came across my UT2004 file. I clicked it and went in music and all of the music files had a winamp icon. I thought that was strange cuz they were uax files so I clicked on convoy and winamp played it. Even though it played the bit rate was going crazy, it started at 44khz 64kbps and halfway through the song it was 48khz 320kbps and it kept changing. There was nothing wrong with the audio and when it changed bit rates I never noticed anything so I asked some people I knew and they said Epic was developing a new audio format and that maybe the codecs were in windows. There are no codecs in the winamp plugin folder that say uax and Windows Media player 10 cant play them at all so I know there is no codec on my pc for them. Im just wondering why without any plugins or anything winamp can play uax files and no other media player can.
