why won't my sound work!!!!!!

I installed a new pci video card so i could play games on my pc

and then my sound went out... so i figured that the intergrated

video and intergrated sound card were some how linked together

so i decided to buy a sound card i install the drivers for the sound

card first and then i install the sound card....And sound still

doesnt work. SO as a last resort i formatted the hard drive.

and guess what sound still doesn't work.

I would really appreciate any tipsor help from anyone that could

fix my problem. get me in the right direction toward solving the

prob.

are you sure you have tried everthing like goin into the control panel and select the sound card. and check the volume controls under accories, entertainment

Maybe your speakers are bad. Try plugging in a different set.

umm...I checked the device manager and under games,sound, and other audio it has the the driver there and it says its enabled however i get no sound from intergrated soundcard or the soundcard i bought and install and i plugged the speakers into a cd-player just to make sure they working/

Are you sure your driver is the latest/supports your operating system?
