The Audio Technica ATH-AD700's are nicely detailed (in terms of sound) headphones in their price range:

They're not heavy on the bass like other headphones often are. However, it is well-defined bass, and has a fairly flat frequency response (i.e. sounds more like it's supposed to)
I own a pair of ATH-AD900's, and I'm glad I got them.
