I live in a dorm room and will be gone for a few weeks. I want to be able to monitor my room with a webcam over the internet. my question is about software. I am interested in the higher end ones with pan and tilt, but it is unclear how it works. I know I can easily sit at another computer and watch the video feed from the webcam, but does the software allow me to remotely pan and tilt as well? what about recording? or maybe recording if it senses motion? is ther 3rd party programs that do this? here are some cameras that I was looking at. any advise would be great. thanks.
