i have a microvision cam that has a built in mic... couple of things with it:
cons:
1) people can't hear me very well. i place it not so close because who wants to see up my nose, really.. i have found myself shouting or picking up the cam and holding near my mouth when i need to.
2) it is near my speakers, my computer setup is horrible here, so the echo back and forth with someone is absolutely *awful*, and i really have no where else to place it!
pros:
i don't wear a stupid looking headset or worry about a clip on mic? hehheh
solution: i think cams with separate mic are best.... i'm trading mine in soon for a better one
i did see one i want with a sensor that makes the cam follow your face... sounds cool. and no internal mic.
