i have a fair bit of music in my collection, and some was recorded at X volume level, some was ripped from disc at Y volume, so could anyone point me the right way in leveling all the audio files so i dont get my ears blasted anymore please?

would like to not sacrifice audio quality if i can
all of the files are MP3 at varying bitrates, but mostly 320vbr.

Thanks

Hi,

Nope the changes are lossless as MP3Gain doesn't decode and re-encode MP3 files to adjust the volume.

Last I knew audacity doesnt batch edit audio files.. there are at least 10k songs :p

My fault, should have mentioned batch editing as a must
