Video Card to TV

I've got a laptop with an S-Video port, i've bought all the wires and stuff i need to patch it up to a TV, but when i patch it up and goto the right channel, it shows it but its really really fuzzy. I've got the right PAL and NSTC thingy, i've got good wires, plus my TV is a 2 month old 50" Plasma (LG), i've tried it on another TV and its also just as fuzzy, i know that the writing is not ment to be clear, but when playing games i can't even see my crossairs, The tv is on the right PAL thing as well, so any ideas about how to clear it up?

that normal behavior it doesn't look as good as your comp moniter. if you had a hardsware dvd decoder though, the movie would look a lot better
