Video Capture Program

Need suggestion -

For some reason, I have INCREDIBLE difficulty capturing video. It works - only sometimes - when the computer feels like it.

Vegas Video doesn't capture...Nero 6 is the main "go to" program, but just last night, it decided it doesn't want to do it anymore, so I downloaded Blaze, and it doesn't work either.

My miniDV is connected to an ADS (brand name) converter via RCA jack, and then to the computer via Firewire.

Any suggestions?

Even though no one responded, surprisingly, I was able to capture with Windows Movie Maker. Was never able to do that before.

Go figure....ain't technology grand?
