TV Tuner with high quality recording

Hi,

I'm looking for a TV tuner card that records at a high quality, since I want to use it to record then burn shows on TV. I've read reviews on some cards that say that you can watch the shows at a good quality, but the recording quality sucks.

Any suggestions?

look optibase, osprey or canubus for a real hardware encoder

Real Hardware encoders. better picture and encoding times. very little cpu usage. these would produce the same great result on a 100 mhz computer. they are expensive but not on ebay. Osprey, Opticast and Canopus make some of the better ones
