if i hooked up my cable line from the back of my cable modem to this will i be able to watch tv on my pc in hd. check sig for video card. and i have lcd screen. my bro wants it to watch it through his 360 and record tv.

i have digital cable w/ hd channels. thanks

Do you have the proper HD cables, and a digital service provider with subscription to HD channels? Otherwise, you're gonna get regular channels unless you have digital.

No, I don't think this will work with the HD signal coming from your cable company. If this thing has a tuner, it will most likely only receive the analog channels (NO HD). What you need is a cablecard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CableCARD <-- not completely sure this will do what you want, you need to do some more research.

You'll only get over-the-air HD broadcasts, cable companies don't want their users to record HD signals without having to pay 100's of $$ for their tivos/boxes crap.
