if i get a tv tuner is there any way i can record shows?

do any tuners come with software to do this or can you dl something to do it?

i know you could use a screen recorder but i cant find any good free ones and i dont feel like buying a good one...

save up for the hauppage tv tuner I have one and it rocks... just make sure you follow the instrustions on there website to setup the latest drivers or you will have crash errors.... I don't much care for the AWI cards they take away from gaiming performance
