Subwoofers

I need a good pair of subs for my car. Can anyone give me any suggestions?

go with 1x jl audio w7 and a 1200 watt class d amp
or kicker l7's with a 800 watt class d amp

how much can u spend? any audiobahn. The more money u have the better whens u can get, basically whut you looking for in a subwoofer is how much watts and the xmas(how much the driver moves back and forwarth). also magnet size matters 2. the bigger, the better

no no go with the MTX 8500's, 12". With 2 amps. My buddy has these and they hit very hard.

omg... Do you want good subs or shiny subs? A lot of the equipment that has been suggested is considered pretty trashy by anyone who is truly into car audio and cares about more than just bling. You should head over to www.elitecaraudio.com. That's a very good (at least it was about 9 months ago when I used to frequent it, probably still is) forum. You should check out Adire Audio. Their 15" Tempest is only $150 and will blow the pants off of almost everything anywhere near its price. Their 15" Brahma is simply amazing. It costs like $475 though. I had one of these for about 4 months and it's truly sweet.

Like I said, go talk to the guys over at ECA, they'll hook you up real good.

EDIT: Whoops, missed the W7 above... that sub has a very good rep.

Thanks I want kick A$$ subs for the lowest price I can find. Shiny does not always = better.
