static in dvd playback

I've just started watching dvds on my computer and I'm experiencing a sort of pixelated static. The static comes in a range of colors, mostly from black to neon green. It's not so thick that you can't see the movie, but it is very annoying. I've tried multiple dvd player programs and a few different dvds, all with the same result. Also I've played through both my dvd-rom and dvd writer. Is my problem in the drives? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK,

In PowerDVD see if you have Hardware Acceleration enable or disabled.

If it is disabled try to enable it, or vice-versa.

Also do a diagnosis so PowerDVD can see what modes your computer can handle. START> PROGRAMS>CYBERLINK> SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC
