Speakers are suddenly acting up..

Hello, I have a bit of a problem with my speakers. When I play music, the main vocal part sounds muted and quiet whereas the other vocal back-up parts are louder and is in focus. I also tried going on youtube and the voices of people speaking also sound quiet. I know it's something to do with settings but I can't seem to find it.. This just happened all of a sudden :S.

Any comments or suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you.

It could be Voice Cancellation (a feature in many Realtek cards, go to Control Panel, look for Realtek HD Audio Manager or Multi Channel Sound Effects or something like that, find the Voice Cancellation button if there is one and turn it off). It could also be that you turned midrange down on your equalizer, as vocals is mainly midrange. Also try plugging your speakers back in, if you unplug a speaker just right (so that the plug is still in but not all the way) it has the same effect as Voice Cancellation.
