Sound Question

I have an old recording on one of those old answering machines with the tapes and transfered it to my computer by just recording it. Now I would like to actually hear the message. There is a part of the message that is very fussy and low and I can't make out exactly what was said. Can anyone help me??

download nero wave editor (mosly included with Nero) or cooledit..with these programs you can improve/change almost everything

there are also some other (free) audio-editing tools..you have to search google

the ones I mentioned above are not free, but you can use them as trial

You were very helpful. When I started the search I didn't quite know what to type for keywords, so it wasn't giving me the results I wanted. I needed to type "wav" I was typing things like sound quality help or software, not wav editor
