sound problem with sub

It seems as though the amplifier section in the sub is faulty.

Try plugging a cd player, ipod, or something other than your computer into it and see if the problem re-occurs.

my computer is on top of my desk, and my sub is on the floor, so i dont think thats the problem, and for how it sounds i think there might be something wronge with speakers or soundcard

3ft minimum, especially with higher powered subs.
