hello i left my computer on while i went out one day and the power went out while it was on and since then ive had no sound i was wondering if there was anyw ay i could restore the sound wihtout reformating the whole computer

Well, reinstall your sound card drivers. If you dont have them in any of the system CD's , you can get it from your manufacturer site or from here www.driverguide.com

audio drivers went corrupted as when the light went out suddenly. re-install from your motherboards cd.

which country are you from btw? where lights went out without prior notice
