sound card advice

Alright I'm trying to save a little money on the new comp I am building as was wondering which one of these sound cards I should go for. If I go for the first one I can get all the parts now and start building... if I go for the second one I need to get a little bit more money. Also what is the difference between thse in sound quality and performace? The reason I liked the second one in the first place is because everything is up front, but I guess that isn't too important.

i think it depends on what it going to be for. if your going for a great gaming system go with number 2. i have the audigy2 zs platinum, but i dont think that you will tell a great diffrence. their both high end cards

Why will number two be better for a gaming system?

the platinum also has an I/O drive for external use (ie. hooking up microphone and such). more features.

most of the time, people are not able to distinguish the difference between the two cards. get the regular ZS.

it also depends on what speakers you have. If you have nothing too amazing, then no need for the platinum series.
