I want to get 7.1 Channel Surround Sound from PC games through my home stereo.
I bought a cheap ChainTech AV-710 with 7.1 out and an optical out jack. The problem is that the optical out only supports front left and front right. To get 7.1, you have to use multiple jacks off the back of the card, which won't work with my Denon deck.
My Denon deck needs a single optical input.
I know there are a lot of 7.1 audio cards out there, but I need one that sends the 7.1 channels through an optical output. Is there a card out there that does that? How about one for under $100? I'll pay more, but I just want to play games on my home theater with real surround sound.
