Hi, Following my previous post, the vaio seems to have a problem loading the software for realtek ac97. It says it was installed successfully, but on reboot, says it has found the hardware, but that it is not installed. When I allow the windows utility to install it, it crashes.
Have also tried to load drivers for sis 7012...if the ac97 has 'not been installed' it presents the error messages "update driver for plug and play devices" and "-536870397"
If i do not reboot after installing the ac97, the sis 7012 installation provides no error messages, but closes the window.
I am really struggling to get passed this problem, if anyone has any sugestions at all i would be extremely grateful.
