Serious audio problems HELP!

Not gonna lie people I'm very angry... I've been downloading music form a shared network, and it's been fine all through 4 months. I got a dell desktop dimension 3000 with the stock osund card. Whenever I listen to a song now the speakers go all fuzzy and slow. When I try it with headphones the same noise still occurs, even wiht other speakers the noise still exists. I'm very frustrated right now and i'm wondering if the soundcard in the mother board could be dirty. I did a spyware check and nothing wason there. Could it be a virus please hlp me I'm a computer idiot I need help.

Check your Device manager for any kind of error icons.
You might want to upgrade the driver for your onboard sound.

Also: What playback app are you using ?
It could be a codec issue.

now how do u update the driver and how can i tell the app i'm using? I'm computer retarded thats why im beegin u people for help...

from whative checked the drivers are all good on the device manager.. so ne other suggestions?
