Screen Capturing DVIX MOVIES?

How do I go about getting screen capture of DVIX MOVIE files.

I find that hitting the PRINT SCREEN button giving me rather mixed results.

And I really don't want to open up ulead gif animator every single time I want to get one single image for a DVIX movie.

I think FRAPS can do this (not sure). You might have to disable hardware acceleration for your graphics card to take regular screenshots.

depends on the player, many will let you grab a single frame, or open it with a video editor, almost all of those will allow a single frame save

I don't know if Iwas correct about the hardware acceleration, but this one works for sure:
Open WMP, go to Tools --> Options --> Performance --> Advanced
Disable "Use overlays".

Actually, managed to get one of my DVD play back software to do this correctly. However if some one can point out some software that will do the same with MKV files, I will be thankful.

As long as you play them with WMP my workaround should work.
