refresh rates of LCD displays

Hi
I was also wondering about refresh rates.
I heard you need good refresh rates for gaming.
Is there a great difference between the refresh rate of the CRT and the LCD.
can some one tell me whether i should go for a 19inch LCD from Samsung or 22 inch CRT from Samsung.

specifically the SM193T and the SM1100 & SM1200

I have got some samsung vouchers on me and i have decided to buy a samsung LCD display
I had been looking at the 193T and 192T, then discovered there is something called response time, and these two models had a response time of 25 ms.
I researched some more, and discovered that a good response time is about 16ms.
I found that there is a 17inch model 172X which does 16 ms
and a 19inch model 193P which does 20 ms.
what do you guys trhink of these two models?

is there any upcoming 19 inch model which would 16ms.

is a 16 ms good for games?

I am basically into RTS games, but might start playing first players like BF1942 and some racing game.

is a 16 ms response time good for RTS games and not so good for first player shoot em ups which are graphic intensive.

Take a look at the Dell 1901FP. It's an awsome LCD for gaming and 19" too...

unfortunately i dont have any choice with the manufacturer, it has to be samsung
i looked up the dell anyway, and i found this link

it says the samsung 192t is better than the dell
unfortunatley the samsung 192T has a response time of 25 ms which i think is not good enough for gaming.

It talks all about LCD panels, refresh times and stuff. There is a whole column for displays. I too am in the market for a good LCD panel. I have been researching for the past month and have come across two displays that have earned good reviews from not only buyers but people who know what they are talking about.

- Hercules ProphetView 920 Pro DVI $450
- ViewSonic VP171b $550

The hercules I can not find anywhere and when I do it is sold out. The View sonic is 100 bucks over my budget, so I'm still saving for it.

I have come across a 17inch model with a response time of 12 ms. SM172X
i was wondering if there was a 19inch model in the pipeline
