Recording what you hear & Windows 7

I'm trying to figure out how to record what I hear using Windows 7.

I'm using a Gateway and Realtek 7.1 audio

** UPDATE - I updated my Realtek audio drivers and got it working. Go to control panel, sound, right click to show disabled sound devices. Then enable stero mixing
