Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headset..worth is or not?

I'm planning on getting this headset for game and was just wondering if it's good quality for the price or if there is something better for the same price or even cheaper. I also plan to use the microphone during online play so if you recommend anything i must have a fair microphone.

It is good. But if you have a good soundcard it can produce a surround sound effect as good or better (i found) through a good pair of stereo headphones. Arguabley mine were extremely good headphones. The mic is very good aswell, on boom mode it picks up everything (typing, clicking your mouse, breathing. Its quite funny )

So yes, if you dont have some $100+ stereo headphones and a $100+ soundcard they are worth it.

well I'm getting a good sound card with my new system (Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Xtremegamer FATAL1TY Professional Series) but i really like these head phones but i also want good quality ones, also appearances are part of why i like them because i go to a lot of lan parties.

I don't need top of the line but i want good quality head phones so u say i should get them?

Yeh i would. But be warned, some people say the right channel goes after about 3 months.

Yeh there under warranty.

It doesn't happen to everyone though.

May i also add that rear sounds are for some reason more tiny and less powerfull sounding than other directions. Not a problem just worth noting.

ok, I'll keep that under consideration, although i haven't found and better ones that i like so i will most likly get the HP-1 still.
