Hi everyone I was wondering if someone could tell me if there is a way for me to put mpeg video files onto a DVD Data disc. I want this becuase i have about 15 Mpegs at about 150Mb each that i want to put on a disc and play in a home DVD player. I used to do the same sort of thing with CDs but i cant seem to get it to work with DVDs is there a proper format they need to be in or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

they need to be 720x480@29.97fps bitrate up to 8000kbps and audio at up to 384kbps with nav packets in the stream, those specs are for NTSC

best results ive seen for speed vs quality is using guiffmpeg for converting to dvd format mpegs and then guidvdauthor to author the dvd

there are lots of tools to do this, tmpgenc works fairly well, its just slow

if the video clips are already scaled and have the right framerate but missing the nav packets you can demux them into separate video and audio streams then use a dvd authoring tool to remux and make the vob's
