Problems with sound card need help!!

The sound card I have is a Audigy 4 pro, the computer i have a saperon 2600 1gb ram. 370W power supply, Windows xp pro w/sp2

The problem that I'm having is that the sound skips when playing an audio file & also in the game as well. I've tryed e-mailing creative & done ALL of the updates that was available.

How can I fix this problem where I no longer have where the sound keeps on skipping?

What I'm I doing wrong?

Pehaps faulty speakers? Try plugging in other speakers, and see if it does the same thing.
Otherwise, maybe it is the program you listen to music with. What software do you use?

Tryed everything same results, the programs that I am using is winamp, media player etc. the speakers are brand new just got them today..
