S sdek Beta member Messages 4 Sep 30, 2006 #1 Using both External Speakers and Built In Speakers on a Laptop? Possible?
ncjimn In Runtime Messages 471 Oct 1, 2006 #2 I think it's possible, you will need an external USB or pcmcia soundcard. depending on what you want to hear you can adjust the settings of the software that will be outputting the sound but laptops built in speakers are usually very crappy. I don't see why you want to use them (together with external speakers).

Crysalis Systems Engineer Messages 1,675 Location United States Oct 3, 2006 #5 No... BIOS does not change anything physically. I'm talking about the actual wiring and routing.
I iambrian Baseband Member Messages 74 Oct 3, 2006 #6 you can probably just do it through the control panel, under the sound, speech, and audio. I know my headphones have sound, but if i turn my speakers on, they work also, along with the headphones. It just happened that way though.
