Portable DVD players.

Anybody use these? Any advice on what to look for?

I'm going to buy one soon and the only thing I really know I want it to do is play .avi/.divx files.

Anything else I need to look for?

You'll want:

1. Plays any formats. This can come in handy
2. Good battery life, and available to plug into cigarette adapter.
3. Lightweight, small footprint.

Be careful. Name-brands will only play DVD's, and CD's. Most cheap name brands can play any disc, they might just have a bad battery life.

It means that you want it small. I have seem some "portable" DVD players that are thick sized monsters, you don't want that

This would be a perfect DVD player. It is pretty cheap ($112 after rebates) and it's thin, 7-inches, and it's got a TV tuner. So it's like a portable TV as well
