playing external hard drive video on your tv

I was wondering if there is a device that will allow you to PLUG in a usb external hard drive and play the video files on it, (avi, mpeg 4, etc.) almost like a apple tv but not quiet, i know there are multimedia harddrives thatr allow you to play video and such but i want one where you can easily change the hard drives.

MikesCreation - thanks for you idea but i need like the exact opisite of that but it cant just be cables it would need some sort of computer in the device inorder to read the files from the hard drive, does anyone know of something like that

this is exactly what i wanted - Mini 2.5'' AIVX DIVX/MPEG-4/MP3/WMA portable player/drive enclosure USB 2.0 storage device video and audio - but it seems that this is the only site that sells it, i was wondering if anyone new of like a best buy that sells something like this, hopefully for cheaper
