So, I have this new rig with an ASUS P5QL motherboard. The front audio ports are wired up just fine, seeing as though there's only 1 section I can possibly plug them into. Plus, the motherboard confirmed I was right.
I have a PCI Turtle Beach Montego DDL 7.1 sound card that I use. In BIOS, I had my onboard sound card disabled. My front panel audio ports do not work now.
In BIOS, I re-enabled my onboard card and I noticed that "front panel audio" now became available. Even with this enabled, I do not get sound out of my front panel audio ports.
So now, I'm confused. I have no idea what to do, but I want my front panel audio to work.
What can the explanation behind this be?
