So, I have this new rig with an ASUS P5QL motherboard. The front audio ports are wired up just fine, seeing as though there's only 1 section I can possibly plug them into. Plus, the motherboard confirmed I was right.

I have a PCI Turtle Beach Montego DDL 7.1 sound card that I use. In BIOS, I had my onboard sound card disabled. My front panel audio ports do not work now.

In BIOS, I re-enabled my onboard card and I noticed that "front panel audio" now became available. Even with this enabled, I do not get sound out of my front panel audio ports.

So now, I'm confused. I have no idea what to do, but I want my front panel audio to work.

What can the explanation behind this be?

Front panel audio is onboard, you cant use it with the turtle beach card.

No workarounds? Like I can't somehow hook in my audio ports to the card itself?

some sound cards have some pins on them for that. your card doesn't
