Question Need Suggestions for Audio Cards w/ 64 OS Stability

I am about to leave behind 32-bit operating systems and build two 64-bit systems though I haven't settled on Vista or the upcoming Windows 7 yet (though the latter is the one I lean heavily towards).

Anyway, I find that picking a good stable audio/sound card one of the more daunting tasks of a build. I don't like onboard audio.

One build will be primarily for gaming though it will serve many tasks. This will be with a 5.1 surround sound speakers.

The other will not be used for gaming but more centered in video editing, game design including game rendering, and music composing and recording via midi, etc. This, too, will do normal tasks as well. Right now this will have to serve with a 2.1 speaker system with the plan to upgrade to at least 5.1.

I'm not looking to spend over $150 per card which I realize may limit me.

My Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS works just fine in Win7 64 Bit.

I do not accept support questions via EMail, PM, IM or my G+ page!

Phone: LG Optimus G Pro

Asus Xonar series has drivers for 64-bit Windows OS's.
If you're using Windows 7, you can usually use Vista drivers.
