I have a decent computer, but my soundcard and speaker was a carry over from a previous system I have had for a long time, so the sound of my computer is definitely the weakest point, so I've decided to get a new audio setup, but since this is the department I don't usually pay attention to, so my knowledge is pathetically limited in this area, so I am calling for help.

Anyways, my budget is about $250 for both the soundcard and speakers. I've decided to get Audigy 2 LS, and I wonder which ones are right for me. So far I've had my eyes on these and I am wondering if you guys can tell me which choices are good and perhaps give me more choices.

I personally get a card with digital or optical out and hook it up to my stereo reciever, so I get the best sound. you can run optical and digital cable 5000 miles before the quality will degrade, so if your computer is in the basement and your stereo is upstairs, you can still hook it up with no quality loss
