movies cant go fullscreen

this just started happening, all of my movies that i have all freeze once i press the fullscreen button, but sound still plays and the timer ticks on.... but the screen freezes at the last frame. im using light alloy 2.4 to play my movies but WMP has the same problem, i tried reinstalling codec, but the problem persists.... any thoughts? im trying to find the source of the problem. no viruses so they couldn't have cause the problem.

Just a thought, maybe it has to do with your resolution settings.
