i have a movie file which is over 750 mb ...if i want to get it onto a couple of cds how would i split the file?

my idea to you would be to just use a dvd. they are huge.

hmmm, yes what file is it? and what do you plan to do with it, cause you might be able to zip it.

it is a .bin file and i plan to burn it so i can watch it without using hd space............. or taking it to a friends place

You can just burn the image onto a CD and take it to a friends house to watch on their computer.

what if the bin file is too big for the 750 mb?

Thats OK, just burn the image normally an the size will be reduced. Its a format thing that I don't really understand but bin files are always larger than they are. I've burned 800+ Mb bin files on a 700Mb CD-R. Just burn the image normally and it will fit.
