Mini DV to PC

I have a Panasonic NV-GS27 (I think). It has a usb port and another 1.



Do i need to buy a firewire cable and pci card to put Mini DV videos on my computer or can I use USB... I have a USB cable but my usb is 1.1. That might be a problem. My question is do i need to get a firewire cable and card to transfer my mini dv video to my computer?

Yes, MiniDV requires the firewire. The USB is for stills only.
