I just built my comp today and installed all my drivers and stuff. But When I use my headphone's with built in Mic the Mic doesnt work. The headphones do, but no mic. I am at a loss for wat to do, I went through all the sound options and stuff. The mic worked on my last computer no problem.

You need to set the microphone as the recording inputl. In the volume control panel, go to the recording section and make sure the mic is selected. Also, try the +20db boost. If you are wanting to hear the mic in your headphones/speakers, then you need to un-mute it in the playback section.
