making a video cd

It doesnt matter if the movie is a hour or 4 hours. As long as the file itself does not go over 700MB the size of a CD. Or 800MB if you have those size CD's.;)

Nero Vision would be the best bet.

well we have to let people know, if they compress too much it tends to look horrible :D

here's a product reference to illustrate what this device plays:
Helios Labs - Connect to the future of digital home entertainment.

that -/+ junk was only for dvds eh? confusing junk, hehe

here's a listing to illustrate how easy it's not, even if we have all the software, discs, and codecs to make a vcd
The DVD player VCD & CDR compatibility list

of course, i am doubting you are trying to use any real old players, and I would think newer ones support all the vcd variants so it's less restrictive.

so, if you think you got it down and made a vcd ok but it doesn't play? burn it again using a slightly different format and it might work. 1 vcd might not play in a vcd capable player but might in another :D
