Looking for an mp3 player!

Hey there,
my buddy is looking for an mp3 player with atleast 4 gigs.

Wants something long lasting and good quality.
No budget really, wants something with good quality!

what do you guys have on your mind?

Hello,

I would go with the Zune. I played my 30GB for over 40 hours straight when i went out of town and it ran the whole time from a full charge. I was able to make it to my destination, travel around and make it back home with battery power to spare. Great battery life on the Zune.

Not to mention you can play video's, Podcasts and everything else on it.

I've been looking around for a player too, I reckon the best one I ended up finding was the Cowon D2. Plays avi and wmv movies, 52 hour audio playback, also takes SD cards too, so you've got basically unlimited space. not too expensive either, I think it was $145 for the 4Gb model in America
Also apparently Cowon has a good reputation for audiophile-quality sound

They use teh same bettery from what i know in both versions. But you can get a Zune 30 (1st Gen) cheap. So it could be worth it. Can get that for about as muxh as a 2nd Gen 4GB. And it is 30GB.

It also uses the 2nd Gen software as well. So it is worth it. Your not stuck back on Gen 1 stuff when Gen 2 is out there. You can update the Zune to be current to what they have.

So really it just comes down to what he wants. But i see others suggest other stuff.

now if you feel the need to make sure you are somebody and need attention...get Microsoft's other competition (I know MS has competition, lol) it's that one with that fruit associated with it
