i went for the creative T7900s. they are very good for the price. i think they are amazing. there again, i have never heard logitech, so i cant really judge.
i think the only difference between the p7800 and the t7900 is that the 7900s have tweeters in the front three channels. however, i cannot find them on the american creative site, and i cannot find the p7800s on the british creative site.
