LG DVD Burner is SLOW

Hey fellas I got this LG burner which is suppose to burn DVDs at 16X but I am only getting 4X max in nero. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Look here:

Are you setting it to Maximum or 16x when you go to burn it? Should be a dropdown box that lets you select the speed that you burn it in. It also depends on how many programs you're running, because the memory buffer uses RAM.

And also, you would need to burn with DVD+-Rs, with a rated speed of 16x, as well.

uninstall your ide drivers and reboot the computer
