So i finally reformated my computer, installed all the drivers but for some reason i get no sound. I installed my sound card but i get no sound what so ever.

What should i do?

Re:

Hello,

Has your device manager detected your sound card...and with no conflicts...?

Hmm... Windows should have atleast installed generic drivers for your sound card when you reinstalled Windows. I don't have much experience with SoundBlaster cards but you did get an installation CD with it, right? That should have the drivers on it. I hate how XP takes it upon itself to automatically install hardware sometimes... Then, when you go to install the actual drivers for the device, XP thinks its own generic drivers are better, for some reason...

all good ideas... but u missed one
start>cntrl>panel>sounds>make sure all of ur sound "devices" are set up to the right sound playa... click the tabs and down arrows to make it simple lol
