Ipod wiped itself out for now reason

I plugged my ipod touch 2nd gen into my pc and there is no music. I dont have any of it backed up. Does itunes back any of it up secretly anywhere or anything? please help. FML

update my firmware made my music from anapod explorer disappears. so i have to use isuck to add music now
