Increasing bass?

I have a 400 watt amp that can go insanely loud. However, when it's quite, I can't get much bass. I was wondering if there was a way to increase the bass output by your soundcard.

Depends on the soundcard, is it an actual card or are you using motherboard sound?

Amorak is my favorite Ubuntu media player. Give it a shot if you got time.

Hmmm. Do you happen to know how to use it to sync to iPods, and if it can read .wma files?

I never used my ipod in Ubuntu cuz i dont use it that much and Amorak should be able to do .wma if not its probably got a codec for it. I know you need to install a codec for .mp3's though

Eh, it was all too much stuff to have to do. I didn't like the interface. I'm just using Rhythmbox Music Player to sync stuff.

If I was to upgrade my sound card, could anyone recommend one that would be able to be configured to increase the bass output?
