How to Record Discussion

I have a PC with a microphone and speakers. My PC has WIN XP with Media Center. Can anyone tell me how to record a discussion that my group is having? This is a physical discussion that we are having in the room. I tried using the sound recorder that comes with Windows, but it will only record about 60 seconds. I need about 90 minutes. My PC also has a RW CD/DVD drive. Any tips are appreciated! Thanks

If need be, I think you can go into the setting with the Windows recorder and extend it to unlimited.

yep use Audacity, best program ever!!

if you want to record whats on speakers, don't forget to turn on the Stereo Mix in your Sound Options
