Whenever i burn cd's and use them in the car they always come out to be so annoying :|

one song will blast..then the other I will have to turn it up almost all the way just to hear it. Is there any program I can use to like equal out the sound before/during the burning process?

I think that is just the way they get when they are burnt. Have you tried a different brand of cd? I know the quality of the cd makes a difference.

Nero has an option when you burn the disc to normalize all audio files.

You dont wanna boost anything, because that creates distortion.....best way would be to lower the volume of all files to match the gain of the lowest file.

Or download high quality versions of all your songs.

Try MP3Gain

looks good..and seems to work butttttt

it won't let me burn after i use it..says file name is too long and has format it can't use...

EDIT: tried a different program and it's letting me burn.

going out today..i'll post tomorrow and say if it worked vern

rican : all of the files lowered the gain. will that create any distortion ? or does that only happen when you increase it?

You on Vista? Try running on XP Compatibility mode..

Oh ya, I forgot to mention never to let it gain, use MP3gain to drop the volume of the louder songs so they match the lower ones
