how to convert thumbnail into an image

i have a thumbnail of an image. As all know there r sites that produce thumbnail from the quality images. Can the process be reversed? i.e. is it possible to produce HQ image from a thumbnail by any application or hack/trick.

No, as the image has already been re-sized to a small thumbnail, resizing it back would stretch the pixels and basically would look like a blocky mess.

Unless you mean tiling it?

To my knowledge, no. Like h2oz7v said, it'll just stretch the image out, making it pixelated/grainy.

Oh, but wouldn't it be neat if this was possible?

But yep, like they said, the thumbnails are degraded, losing the high quality detail, and since the general purpose of a thumbnail is a smaller image / data size, there's no way to recover it.
