how to burn vhs to disk

i hv a vhs camcorder and i want to put the tapes on a cdr a svcd so to speak how do i get the tape to disk what soft ware and encoders are needed and do i need a special cord is there an all in 1 program for this cord software maybe someone do it for me? just kidding please help tky all

Waitaminute. First I need to know what you already have. If you have any cabling and software that allows you to upload the video to your computer, then things should be easy. Otherwise, you need to buy some equipment.

yea you'r gonna need a video capture card wich can cost near $100. but if you allready have it then all you need is some software.
