Uhm k, I got some dvd-rw's in the mail today so I'm ready to burn my free copy of windows 7 (yea "free"...i'm sure this is what my tuition goes towards :| lol).

So what are the proper steps to do this that makes a high success rate? I know a lot defends on the quality of the disc. But besides that, what steps can I take so I make a good cd instead of coasters?

EDIT:

And once it's burned, how do I know if it works properly and completely? I'd hate to get to the last steps in the installation to find out corrupt and that I have to re-installed vista just to burn the dvd again lol

Something as important as this, run as slow as possible.. and then use the check disk feature of your program... usually a check box before you hit burn.

I'd also refrain from any strenuous cpu/memory activities while burning.

eh I went the safe way and burned 2 copies using 2 different problems ( active iso burner and the windows 7 usb/dvd burner thing)

posting this from windows 7 :D first things first...get rid of IE :D
