High Speed Video with Pinnacle Studio Ultra 11

My work is using a high speed camera and converted it over to a .avi file format. I went to open it up in Pinnacle Studio Ultra 11 and it the crashes the program. Is this not a typical .avi format? How do I convert it over into a usable movie format to be used in Studio?

Any help would be appreciated.

may not be a typical or standard codec used to encode the avi...
you could use something like windows media encoder or "mediacoder"...though the latter is not that intuitive for many.

pinnacle has alway been buggy and they don't really care to fix it

use nerovision or windvd creator
